My vacation week...

We went to pick strawberries, the Kemah boardwalk twice (once for sprinkler play and once for the rides), swimming at my pool. Sky got a stomache bug. She's still not feeling 100 percent. Oh and I finished Spanish. Yay me!

Birthday [Party] Girl…

Last Sunday I had a little birthday party for Sky with family and a few friends. It had a “My Little Pony” theme. My sister made the cake. It was so cute, and delicious as well.

Happy First Birthday…

Sky is:

Short and chubby. Cute and cuddly. Extremely ticklish. Fluent in Skylar language, “a gulla gulla gully.” A novice walker. A social eater. A jewelry enthusiast. Nosey like her Nana. Stubborn like her Momma. But most importantly, she’s turning 1 tomorrow.

Lets review her first year.

Baby’s first Christmas…

I think Sky had a pretty good Christmas. She got a bunch of new babies, but Baby Snow White seems to be her favorite. She gives that doll more hugs than she gives me. Ha.

Her dad didn’t get her anything for Christmas, but I didn’t really expect him to. Oh well. She’ll have a real dad someday.

Sky still isn't walking, but she cruises around pretty well holding onto furniture, laundry baskets, and her new baby doll stroller. I’m hoping she’ll be walking by her birthday. [In less than a month.] 

Last Friday…

I was Betty Crocker. I made Jason banana cookies. They turned out more like banana bread, but they were still pretty good. I also made rice krispie treats and sugar cookies. Payton assisted.

Later Jason and I took Skylar to the Festival of Lights in Dickinson, where we met up with Val and the boys. It was pretty nice. Free is also a plus. And Sky got to sit in Santa’s lap. She didn’t even cry.

Makes me want to be a better person. He is so wonderful. And good. All the time. Its only been three weeks, but I know I love him. Already.

Let's review:
Sky is 9 months now.
She has two bottom teeth. And one and a half on top.
She isn't walking yet, but she can crawl. And she's really starting to cruise from furniture to furniture. To wall.
She has figured out when she presses certain buttons on her little people barn, the result isa noise.
She is a social eater and will follow anyone into the kitchen.

Halloween is Saturday, and Sky is going to be a bumblebee as pictured. I made the costume. =]
